Katherine received her Master’s degree in Film Studies from the NYU Tisch School of Art and an Appraisal Studies Certificate from the Appraisers Association of America (AAA). In addition to her areas of expertise in contemporary art, she also has extensive knowledge of appraising Digital New Media art. She provides many appraisal services, including appraisals for charitable contributions, estate tax liability, and resale.
Katherine Hu is a professional art appraiser and advisor specializing in contemporary and new media art. She works with high-profile collectors and clients in both the primary and secondary markets.
Before founding Hu Art Advisory, Katherine gained valuable experience at major art auction houses and galleries in New York, including Christie's, Sotheby's, and Doyle. She has also built significant connections within the art world. Katherine has lived and worked across Asia, America, Latin America, and Europe, enriching her understanding of the global art landscape.
